As a Company that makes cat food and dog snacks we have a unique appreciation for the need to ensure all pets are fed. We support this through numerous partnerships including with local animal shelters and nationally with Greater Good Charities, which distributes necessary goods to people and pets across the world.
Making Connections
Our Milk-Bone® brand provides for dogs beyond the dog treat aisle, including supporting several meaningful programs that help make the connection between people and pets even more special.
The brand has a longstanding partnership with Canine Assistants. For decades, Canine Assistants has worked to educate and place service dogs for people with disabilities and facility dogs for schools and hospitals, free of charge.
Along with our established commitment, we have recently expanded our support through a collaboration with the Cleveland Browns. The brand and team have partnered on the launch of the Barking Backers, a dogs only fan club for the team (the largest fan club for dogs in the world). The partnership has members across all 50 states and 9 countries and was named the 2022 NFL Club-Led Summit Activation of the Year Winner. Through this relationship we are able to bring attention and provide additional funding for Canine Assistants.
In addition, Milk-Bone® sponsors programs to bring dogs into hospitals to offer patients and their families the well-deserved joy that only dogs can offer. This program is in collaboration with our partners at Akron Children’s Hospital and Cleveland Clinic through the Doggie Brigade and Caring Canines, respectively. These programs focus on bringing happiness to patients of both hospital systems through volunteer handlers and their canine companions, who visit patients’ rooms as a welcome distraction that spreads joy and positivity.
