Enriching Our Communities by Supporting Arts and Culture

As an organization, we believe in making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. We realize this by supporting access to vital resources, chiefly through key partnerships with organizations including United Way and Red Cross, as well as by enriching the lives of those in our communities by promoting arts and culture programming.   

This commitment comes to life through the work we do in our back yard of Northeast Ohio, through initiatives supported by our operations facilities across the country, and via our brands.  

• In Northeast Ohio, which we have called home since our founding in 1897, we have a number of relationships with local organizations that promote the arts – from the most advanced practitioners to those who are just beginning their education. This includes our support of the nationally renowned Cleveland Orchestra and Akron Art Museum, to our sponsorship of the Akron Children’s Hospital Berry Good Reading Program – which gifts books to children during annual well visits to promote a lifelong love of reading. 
• With manufacturing facilities across the country, we are fortunate to have teams that share in our passion for making a difference and that take the time to do so in a manner that reflects the needs of each community. One example of this is the work of our team in Longmont, Colorado, which provides funding to the local Symphony Orchestra. As part of its support, the team aided the presentation of The Gentle Nutcracker – a sensory friendly production of the classic play for children with special needs. 
• Along with offering consumers products they love, our brands are also committed to giving back and helping make the world a better place. In this spirit, several of our brands have dedicated partnerships supporting arts and culture initiatives. A great example of this is our Café Bustelo^® brand, which has several notable programs including the El Café Del Futuro Scholarship, which awards scholarships to college students at institutions that are members of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), and its collaboration with Florida International University to support education and cultural initiatives.  

We appreciate the shared passion of our teams and partners to inspire new experiences and perspectives through arts and culture. By continuing to promote these efforts, we support the development and growth of those in our communities while helping to ensure future generations of well-rounded leaders who appreciate the contributions of these important institutions.
