Honoring Service with Support: Helping Military Members and Families When It Matters Most

As a Company with a proud history of military service, which has helped to shape the philosophies of Company leaders and the culture we maintain today, we have a unique appreciation for supporting the military and their families. We have done so historically, including through our annual Mission Breakfast event, and, as always, we look at evolving needs to determine new opportunities for support. In light of the uncertainty and financial strain military families are facing due to the ongoing government shutdown, we have announced a $50,000 donation to our partners at the Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) to aid its Emergency Grocery Support program. 

The Emergency Grocery Support program provides direct grocery support to families who need it most. To put this support in perspective, $200 supports one family for a week. $2,000 helps 10 families and provides them with a sense of comfort, dignity, and normalcy during this challenging time. 

Established in 2013, MFAN was founded to connect military families to the information, people, and resources they depend on to navigate all phases of military life. The organization is committed to helping all military-connected families thrive by understanding their unique needs and inspiring meaningful change. 

To date, 50,000 verified military families have applied for support through the Emergency Grocery Support program. MFAN is seeking donations to expand its ability to support these and additional families that reach out for assistance. Those interested in supporting can visit the MFAN online giving page.
