Chief Marketing Officer-Elect
Katie Williams has been elected to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. In this role she will oversee marketing and consumer engagement strategy for the Company's portfolio of iconic brands, including Uncrustables®, Café Bustelo®, Meow Mix®, Milk-Bone®, Hostess®, Folgers®, Jif®, and more. Katie will be charged with shaping the long-term vision for the Company’s brands while supporting continued growth by applying data-driven consumer insights, breakthrough marketing creative, and a focused media strategy to deliver meaningful reach while offering strong return on investment.
A seasoned CPG marketing leader, Katie brings more than 20 years of experience spanning Procter & Gamble, Kraft Foods and Mondelēz International.
Professional Highlights
Before joining Smucker, Katie served as the U.S. Chief Marketing Officer at Haleon, where she led commercial and brand strategy for a $5 billion portfolio that includes some of the world’s most trusted consumer health brands such as Advil®, Sensodyne®, Tums®, EmergenC® and Centrum®. A founding member of the global standalone Haleon business following its separation from GSK Consumer Health, Katie played a pivotal role in shaping consumer experiences through a blend of data driven insights, creative excellence, and a deep belief in the power of science.
She began her career in R&D at P&G before moving into increasingly senior marketing and commercial leadership roles. At Mondelēz, she served as Vice President of Marketing Transformation, where she led modernization of consumer engagement and accelerating digital first brand building across the North America portfolio. Prior to that, she led major brand categories including confections, wholesome snacks and crackers, managing iconic brands such as Oreo®, Ritz®, Sour Patch Kids®, Trident®, Halls®, Wheat Thins® and Triscuit®.
Across her career, Katie has earned recognition for her leadership in driving growth, creative courage, digital transformation, and building high performing teams.
Educational Background
Katie earned a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
