Tucker Marshall currently serves as Chief Financial Officer | Executive Vice President, Frozen Handheld and Spreads, and Sweet Baked Snacks. In this role, Tucker oversees corporate and business finance, investor relations, and corporate development. Tucker also provides strategic leadership to the U.S. Retail Frozen Handheld and Spreads, Sweet Baked Snacks, and International businesses, as well as the Company’s sales function.   

Tucker brings more than two decades of senior leadership experience with extensive expertise in corporate strategy and business development, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, corporate accounting and financial reporting, tax and treasury, internal audit, and compliance. 

Professional Highlights 

Tucker joined Smucker in 2012 in the role of Director, Corporate Finance and was promoted to Vice President, Finance in 2014. In these roles, Tucker established the Company’s Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis department, charged with long-term financial and business planning, annual forecasting, capital budgeting and decision-making analysis, corporate development activities, cost synergy management programs, and integration and carve-out activities.  

In 2019, Tucker was elevated to the role of Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Financial Officer and elected a Company Officer. In this role, he led corporate and business finance, including financial reporting, internal audit, tax and treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and corporate development. Under his leadership the Company delivered significant synergies from acquisitions, achieved divestiture-related cost savings, and implemented company-wide margin-enhancement programs. Tucker has played a central role in advancing the Company’s strategic direction through long-term financial planning, portfolio optimization, and deep enterprise-wide business insights. 

Underpinning Tucker’s leadership is a genuine appreciation for those on his team and commitment to support their continued professional development. In this spirit, Tucker has empowered his leadership team to promote new solutions and ways of working to enhance efficiency and create opportunities to devote resources to higher value work.    

Prior to joining the Company, Tucker held leadership roles in investment banking and private equity at Bank of America and The Reserve Group, where he gained strategy and operations exposure, and diverse financial and capital markets experience. 

Community and Industry Leadership  
 
Beyond his work at Smucker, Tucker is an active leader in the community and industry.  

He serves on the Board of Directors for Akron Children’s Hospital. Tucker is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Western Reserve Academy, a coeducation boarding and day school located in Hudson, Ohio.  

In addition, he serves as a member of the Global Standards One U.S. Finance and Audit Committee. 

Educational Background  

Tucker graduated from Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also studied at the London School of Economics and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
