We firmly believe that an inclusive environment and diverse organization strengthens our Company and enables every employee to reach their full potential.

While proud of our commitment to ensuring every employee feels welcome and valued, our leadership recognizes there are opportunities for us to strengthen our Company by focusing on our commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity. These efforts center around three pillars:

  • Workforce: Promoting a diverse workforce
  • Workplace: Maintaining an inclusive environment for all employees
  • Marketplace: Sharing our efforts with external constituents to support greater cultural awareness and sensitivity in society

Importantly, we must hold ourselves to high, measurable standards to ensure we are progressing. To this end, we are evaluating our progress through several measures:

  • Reviews of organization health assessments and employee engagement surveys
  • Evaluation of workforce composition and minority representation across all levels of the organization
  • Successful integration of key programming including unconscious bias training and employee resource groups to strengthen the understanding of the importance of inclusion and diversity and to give employees the resources and support they need

Empowering Our People To Bring Their Whole Selves to Work

Our pathway to success has always and will always start with our people. It is our duty and our priority to ensure that every employee at our organization feels welcomed, valued and emboldened to reach their full potential. We are confident that creating an environment where our employees feel proud in bringing their whole and authentic selves to work is the only way this can happen.

To help realize this we are proud to have established our Advocate Alliance and our initial Employee Resource Groups.

Our Advocate Alliance group is a passionate network of employees championing inclusion, diversity and equity efforts across all of our corporate and operations facilities. The group, open to all employees, participated in learning sessions, guided conversations and break out groups to discuss ID&E topics and personal experiences. The group continues to drive progress and change along our ID&E journey.

Our Employee Resource Groups have played a huge role in enhancing our culture and making us a stronger Company. The groups not only provide support and instill a sense of community to members, they also foster greater understanding, empathy and allyship across our organization by sharing their own experiences, educational materials and other resources. 

Each group is sponsored by a member of our Executive Leadership Team to ensure that their perspectives are constant focus across our organization.

We are proud of the important work these groups have put forward and excited by the opportunities for them to encourage further growth for our Company. 

Inspiring Continued Progress

Over the past year we have made important progress on our commitment to create an environment where our employees are supported and differences are truly celebrated.

Specific highlights over the past year have included:

  • Introducing our Advocate Alliance of employees to be ID&E ambassadors and inspire our continued progress
  • Launching employee resource groups, including LGBTQ+ and Allies and BLAC – Black Leadership and Allyship Council, as we work on the introduction of others
  • Coordinating more than 8,500 hours of employee programming on education and understanding
  • Hosting panels to reflect the unique experiences of under-represented groups to increase employee understanding while encouraging empathy and allyship 
  • Publishing regular content to celebrate our differences and increase understanding

To support our continued progress, we have developed the following priorities around inclusion, diversity and equity for our fiscal year 2022:  

  • Continue inclusive leadership and collaboration (continued education and awareness for all, with specific focus on people leaders)
  • Increase people of color at every level of the organization
  • Build upon our Company’s strong gender diversity to inspire necessary progress across the business
